I took these pictures quite a while ago, actually. I just felt like snapping shots of any flower we had on the property. These three are only a few of them, but I thought I'd put them up to show you.
I think I had found this one.... somewhere either near the front porch
or at the back of the house.
This one I took of a flower near the front porch.
It was slightly windy, hence the reason you can see my fingers,
I was trying to hold it still.
Maybe. Or at the back, could've been the back.
Last Saturday me and my family had gone to do a bit of errand running. We stopped by George House to get my mom a Bubble Tea. George House also had a small-ish collection of books. I'd been looking through the books, not really expecting to see any book titles I recognized. After a bit, I came upon one book whose title I recognized immediately:
Elsie Dinsmore is a series of books about a young girl (named Elsie Dinsmore, of course), who lived before, during and after the Civil War. It's fiction, but it's one of my favorite fiction series. They have a modern version, but the originals are by far much better, and I highly recommend them. And finding this one, I was startled, but excited (if anything, I totally did not expect to see it there). And it was only a dollar, so I bought it. It looks so cool, although it smells old (Parker says it smells like smoke), and the picture on the front is really pretty, too. Finding this book almost makes me wants to go back and scour the shelves for other books I might recognize.
And if anyone's noticed yet, the music playlist is still a work in progress. My mom was helping me try to just get the silly thing on the blog last night. So, now that it's on there, most of the songs are only a few seconds. I will try to get that fixed.
