It's what happens when you have a circular

Can I Call It A Sign Of Spring?

Well, we moved our Nubian goats, Rosie and Ginger, into their first pen. Earlier today, Rosie's udders were lookin' bigger they had over the past couple weeks (or so my family says. I can see 'em, I just can't seem to see any large size), which is a sign that she may have babies. For a long while, we all had been thinking neither of them were pregnant, since neither of them had shown any sign of pregnancy.

Of course, we've heard from lots of people that you cannot tell if a goat is pregnant or not. There are signs to look out for near the birth, but that's about it (having bigger udders is one of 'em).

So now those two are snuggled up in their old pen, and all of us are inside hoping for the best. Hope with us! ;)

Outside...

...there's a lot of snow. It's drifted so much it makes deep, white hills everywhere, making it seem like we live nestled between small hills. There's even snow on the roof, with a thick slab hanging dangerously off the edge.

The sunrise changed from a scarlet red to a glowing pink-orange band of light peeking over the trees. The rest of the sky is the dull, young day gray-blue. The two dogs are somewhere outside playing in the snow before they come inside to warm up.

The snow has melted in place, leaving patches large and small of sleeping grass. Grass that wants spring just as much as anyone else.
